Your Arrival will be to Marrakech and head to Rabat on the next day. From there you go to the old Sultan capital Meknes and the medieval Fes. Afterwards we drive south over the skies of Atlas to the oceans and the sandy sea and the dunes of the Sahara. Before we are "home" in Marrakech once again cross the Atlas Mountains.
DAY 1 : MARRAKECH - ARRIVAL
Welcome and assistance to arrival formalities at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Dinner & overnight at hotel Atlas Medina 5* or similar.
DAY 2 : MARRAKECH - AIT BEN HADDOU - OUARZAZATE
After breakfast, departure to Ouarzazate via le col of
Tizi-n-Tichka; the mountains of the high atlas. Further on to Ouarzazate to visit of the famous Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, the best preserved Kasbah in the whole Atlas region.
Aït Benhaddou is a UNESCO world heritage site since 1987 and several films have been shot there, including Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth, Gladiator and Alexander; Visit of Taourirt Kasbah, it merges under the sun with its notched towers. It is one of most impressive Kasbah of all Morocco built by Glaoui .Dinner & overnight at hotel Riad Salam 4* or similar or alternative Les jardins de Ouarzazate.
DAY 3 : OUARZAZATE - AGDZ - TINEGHIR
Excursion to
Agdz to discover a part of Draa and its nice landscape. Continuation, to Tineghir via Skoura and Kelaat Megouna “the land of rosesâ€, known for its annual “moussem†(pilgrimage). and Boumalne du Dades,the famous road of the thousand Kasbahs, which skirts the valley of Dadès. Incursion into the astonishing canyon Gorges of Dadès. Arrival to Tineghir, a resplendent oasis, with olive-trees, pomegranates and browning corns. Dinner & overnight at hotel Sargho 4*or Bougafer 4*.
DAY 4 : TINEGHIR - GORGE TODRA - ERFOUD
Breakfast in the hotel. Continuation for the Throats of
Todra, the road disappears between cliffs ochre which rise with more than 300 m, then it carries out to the throats. Incursion in this fabulous
Todra Gorge. Then departure to the palm plantation of Jorf located on right bank of the Ziz Wadi at the foot of Jbel Erfoud, then the road continues towards the ksar Touroug, framed by very beautiful oases Dinner & overnight at Palm’s Hotel 4* or similar.
DAY 5 : ERFOUD - RISSANI - ERFOUD
After breakfast departure to
Rissani, one of the oldest caravan centre, and visit of the oasis and its ksour. Excursion by 4X4 to the Dunes of
Merzouga to admire the wonderful sunset. Return to
Erfoud. Dinner & overnight at Palm’s Hotel 4* or similar.
DAY 6 : ERFOUD - MIDELT - MEKNES
After breakfast,Departure towards Meknes, via
Errachidia the major town of the Tafilalet province and Midelt, passing by the Tizi n'Talghemt pass 1907m high. Continuation to Azrou then arrival to Meknes. Dinner & overnight at hotel Menzeh Dalia 4* or similar.
DAY 7 : MEKNES - VOLUBILIS - MOULAY DRISS - FEZ
Breakfast then visit of Meknes the Ismailite Capital : Here you can admire the monumental gate Bab Mansour, classified among the four most beautiful gates of the world. Behind this gate, the square Place El Hedim is a kind of border between the imperial city and the medina. Finally, you will visit the Mouly Ismail mausoleum. Departure to
Volubilis, where you can admire the famous roman ruins and then a visit of
Mouly Idriss, the holy city where the founder of Islam in Morocco is buried. Continuation towards Fes. Dinner & overnight at hotel Les Merinides 5* or similar.
DAY 8 : FEZ
Day reserved for a fascinating visit of the spiritual capital of Morocco. Discovery of the oldest imperial city, founded in 808 by Idriss II. Fes, the major city of the Arab-Muslim civilisation, is the most complete Islamic medieval city in the world. It keeps traces of every dynasty. You will visit Fes El Bali (old) and Fes El Jedid (new) with the famous coranic schools
Medersa Bou Inania and Attarine and the Mosque Karaouiyine, as well as the Nejjarine fountain and the Souks. Lunch in the Medina. Dinner & overnight at hotel Les Merinides 5* or similar.
DAY 9 : FEZ - RABAT
After breakfast departure to Rabat for a visit of the administrative capital: the archaeological museum, the splendid
Mohamed V mausoleum, the
Hassan Tower and the Garden of the Oudayas; the Chellah. Dinner & overnight at hotel Oscar 4* or similar.
DAY 10 : RABAT - CASABLANCA - EL JADIDA
Breakfast and departure to Casablanca, the economical capital of Morocco. During the orientation tour you will discover the strong points of this modern and cosmopolitan city, for example the Cornice Boulevard and the famous
Mosque Hassan II (inside visit). Continuation to El Jadida to discover the new beach resort “

DAY 11 : EL JADIDA - SAFI - ESSAOUIRA
After breakfast, bref orientation tour of
El Jadida before continuing to
Safi. Famous for beautiful blue ceramics, Safi is also remarkable by its Portuguese citadel. Visit of Safi. Arrival at Essaouira « the well-defined », ancient Phoenician trading post, which became
Mogador under the Portuguese rule and which remains a unique citadel. Visit of this cradle of every kind of artists, market with intense activity and famous fishing port of the Atlantic ocean. Visit also of the Sqala of the Kasbah, old battery where bronze guns melted in Spain, Portugal and Holland are aligned. Dinner & overnight at Atlas Mogador 5* according availability.
DAY 12 : ESSAOUIRA
After breakfast discovery of the former Mogador which overlook the Atlantic ocean: Essaouira ,â€the well-definedâ€, ancient Phoenician trading post, which became Mogador under Portuguese rule and which remains a unique citadel. Visit of this cradle of every kind of artists, markets with intense activity and famous fishing port of the Atlantic Ocean. Dinner & overnight at Atlas Mogador 5* according availability.
DAY 13 : ESSAOUIRA - MARRAKECH
Breakfast and departure to Marrakech. The afternoon will be held in reserve for a visit of the charming souks of Marrakech, where the craftsmen are grouped by corporation. You will end this visit with the legendary
"Djemaa El Fna" square, an undeniably lively place where you can find story tellers, snake charmers,... the beating heart of Marrakech. Dinner and overnight at hotel Atlas Medina 5* or similar.
DAY 14 : MARRAKECH
After breakfast visit of the red walled cityies most interesting monuments: the
Bahia Palace, the Saadian tombs, the
Koutoubia Mosque, the Medersa Ben Youssef, the Museum of Marrakech and the Majorelle gardens. Afternoon free at leisure. Dinner and overnight at hotel Atlas Medina 5* or similar.
DAY 15 : MARRAKECH - DEPARTURE
In option : the excursion of the Valley of Ourika: a ½ day without lunch. Transfer to the airport and assistance to check-in formalities for the return flight.
